Membership Account Associate I
Job Description Summary :
This role is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate setup, maintenance, billing and accounts receivable management for a portfolio of customer accounts. In doing so, this role works as part of a cohesive team dedicated to providing a level of service that consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Job Description
- Uses knowledge of company software tools, Federal or State regulations and/or company requirements to setup new and renewing customer accounts, as well as maintain accounts based on updates received electronically or via written correspondence.
- Responsibilities include processing changes in the eligibility of customers acquiring, maintaining or discontinuing insurance coverage, producing and distributing accurate invoices, monitoring accounts to ensure timely payments, and following established protocols for delinquent accounts.
- Uses job knowledge and critical thinking skills to identify basic account setup, maintenance, billing and accounts receivable discrepancies and escalates to leadership to help resolve.
- Ability to follow and apply written instructions from established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), start-up notes, remote and in-person training.
- Independently completes assigned work while consistently meeting or exceeding established timeliness, accuracy and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates level degree or combination of equivalent work experience.
- Experience composing correspondence, reading and interpreting documents.
- Experience dealing with and researching complex customer issues with successful resolution.
- 3 years of experience in customer service and managing account relationships/loyalty initiatives or any combination of required education and experience.
- Experience entering precise, detailed data quickly and accurately over a sustained period of time.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
- Intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Intermediate knowledge of basic accounts receivable/billing concepts and the ability to apply and communicate such concepts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: data reconciliation, member eligibility reconciliation, financial or account management reconciliation.
