The Database designer will play a vital role in supporting various data management activities within our data Management group. The candidate must possess the ability to demonstrate positive initiative and accountability in a fast-changing and responsive working environment and is expected to have the ability to think independently and solve problems in a timely fashion with limited guidance. Th individual is expected to actively contribute to the success of the broader biometrics organization. The individual will collaborate closely with other functional areas, external vendors and sponsor companies. The Database Designer is expected to understand the company mission of standard of excellence and ensure the company's values are reflected in the individual's work.
The Data Management team is looking for motivated, hardworking, experienced Database Designers to perform clinical Database design activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EDC database design, setup and validation for clinical trials.
- Perform database administration including account setup, account maintenance and database lock.
- Perform comprehensive quality control procedures
- Provide EDC technical support to study teams
- Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions.
- Other DM tasks as deemed appropriate by senior members.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in clinical/IT/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related with 1-2 yrs of clinical experience.
- Prior database design experience in 1 to 2 EDC platforms.
- Good understanding of Database concepts. Proficient in SQL language and at least 1 other programming language.
- Working knowledge of GCP, clinical research, clinical trial process and related regulatory requirements and terminology.
- Detailed oriented, ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- A dependable team player.
